Illegal Workers Arrested in Fürstenwalde: 3 Brazilians Face Charges

On August 13, 2025, the Main Customs Office Frankfurt (Oder) conducted an inspection at a construction site in Fürstenwalde. The operation aimed to verify proper employee registration, prevent social benefit fraud, and check for illegal employment and wage violations.

During the inspection, three individuals attempted to evade detection by fleeing the scene. They were unsuccessful and were later identified as Brazilian nationals. These individuals could not provide documents authorizing their stay or employment in the U.S. (usajobs), indicating illegal work.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated against these three individuals for suspected illegal residence. Additionally, administrative offense proceedings have been started for illegal employment. Authorities typically handle such cases, with cooperation from various agencies like USCIS (uscis).

The inspection in Fürstenwalde uncovered illegal workers, leading to criminal and administrative proceedings. The Main Customs Office Frankfurt (Oder) continues to work diligently to ensure compliance with registration, residence, and employment regulations, and to prevent fraudulent activities.
