Ice Block Bet in Kamp-Lintfort Proves Insulation's Climate Impact
A unique climate awareness event, the ice block bet, has concluded in Kamp-Lintfort. The event, backed by local sponsors like Stadtwerke Kamp-Lintfort, Geilings Brewery, Kalisto, and the Mediathek, demonstrated the impact of insulation on climate protection and personal finances.

The event was praised by local officials. Barbara Drese, deputy mayor, commended its tangibility in promoting climate protection and insulation. Axel Witzke, head of the Climate Protection and Climate Change Adaptation department, lauded its ability to engage the public on energy efficiency. Frank Rattmann, CEO of Stadtwerke Kamp-Lintfort, stressed the year-round benefits of insulation for both the climate and personal finances.
The ice block bet in Kamp-Lintfort successfully raised awareness about the importance of insulation. It showed that simple measures like insulation can significantly reduce energy loss and contribute to climate protection. The event's impact on public engagement and understanding of energy efficiency has been widely acknowledged.
