Hyundai India Reports Record September Sales, Venue and Creta Soar
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has reported impressive sales figures for September 2025, marking significant increases across various categories. The Hyundai Venue notched its best performance in 20 months, while the Creta achieved its highest-ever monthly tally.
HMIL's total monthly sales reached 70,347 units in September 2025, a 9.6% increase from the same period last year. This upward trend follows four consecutive months of steady growth, with September's sales being the highest yet. Exports also surged by 43.5% to 18,800 units, the highest monthly tally since December 2022.
The Hyundai Venue was a standout performer, notching 11,484 units in September. The Creta also excelled, achieving its highest-ever monthly tally of 18,861 units. SUVs accounted for a record 72.4% of HMIL's domestic sales, with 37,313 units sold. Domestic passenger car wholesales in India rose to 51,547 units, a 0.9% increase over September 2024. This rebound can be attributed to strong festival-season demand, as sales rose sharply by 17.2% from August 2025. HMIL's domestic sales showed even stronger sequential growth, rising 17.1% from August 2025 to September 2025.
HMIL's September 2025 sales figures reflect a robust market performance, with significant increases in both domestic and export sales. The Hyundai Venue and Creta's impressive showings, along with the strong SUV sales, contribute to this success. As the festival season continues, HMIL looks poised to maintain this momentum.
