Hot off the press, Spanish construction materials giant, OBRAMAT, has set foot in Portugal's market, establishing its first store in the heart of Alfragide, Carnaxide. This whopping €18 million investment has been met with enthusiasm, heralding the company's entrance into the national scene following its success in Spain with 37 stores.
This bad boy isn't your average store either. Spanning an impressive 16,000 square meters (including 9,000 square meters of sales area and 7,000 square meters of logistics space), it's OBRAMAT's largest store to date. The company aims to cement its dedication to the sector and its professionals by introducing an intensive training program for all local staff, clocking in at over 50 hours of specializedsession. This endeavor has translated into the creation of 200 jobs in the area and 65 partnerships with local suppliers, according to idealista.
Once this massive warehouse springs to life, it'll offer more than 20,000 references from top-tier brands, neatly arranged in nine large sections: construction materials, wood and carpentry, tools, hardware, electricity, sanitary, plumbing-heating, ceramics and paints.
