Habitat for Humanity Rallies for Rural Housing

Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns (HHEB) is set to participate in Habitat for Humanity International's first-ever Rural Rally. The event aims to shine a light on the critical need for affordable housing in rural communities across the US.

Nationally, one in four rural households struggles with housing affordability, spending more than 30% of their monthly income on housing. HHEB's Executive Director, Christine Dieterich, sees the Rural Rally as an opportunity to highlight these challenges and showcase the organisation's work in smaller communities, such as Weston Village.

The Rural Rally will take place this fall, coinciding with the 39th annual Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project in Austin, Texas. HHEB will host a special event on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at Weston Village as part of this initiative. For more details about HHEB's involvement in the Rural Rally, it may be helpful to check the official website of Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns or the Rural Rally itself.

The Rural Rally, with HHEB's participation, seeks to raise awareness about the urgent need for affordable housing in rural regions. The event in Weston Village promises to be an important step in addressing this pressing issue.
