Gump's Website is Placed Top 10 in Summer Associate's "Ideal" Law Firm List by Law360 Pulse Survey
Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, a leading international law firm with over 900 lawyers, is making significant changes to its summer associate program in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The firm, which has offices in the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, is moving from a five-week program to a full 10-week program this year. This change in the program length will help Gump maintain a lighter pace for each summer associate's workday, providing a more enjoyable and productive experience.
Lauren Marsh, Gump's director of attorney recruiting, stated that the firm is making summer associates aware of the existing firmwide resource groups for employees. These resource groups allow summer associates to communicate with those with whom they share an affinity, helping them build networks and make connections before they potentially work at the firm.
Beth Miller, Gump's chief legal talent officer, added that the firm has learned from 2020 to cap the number of participants in meetings and gatherings to allow for more quality interactions. Small groups of four to six participants are being maintained to facilitate effective connections among summer associates and lawyers.
Gump's efforts to enhance the summer associate experience have not gone unnoticed. The firm's marketing and promotion of its summer programs was ranked number three, and Gump was ranked number eight among the Top 15 'Dream' Firms by Law360 Pulse.
With offices in multiple countries, Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment. The firm's dedication to this goal is evident in its ongoing efforts to support and empower its employees, ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.
