Announcing the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) Cold Chain Projects

The Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is inviting applications for setting up Cold Chain projects under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY). The aim of these projects is to minimize post-harvest losses, improve storage facilities, and strengthen the farm-to-market supply chain, thereby ensuring better income for farmers and improved quality for consumers.

Submission Details

Eligible applicants across India can apply for these projects. Prospective entrepreneurs and eligible entities are required to submit their proposals online via the SAMPADA Portal (https://www.sampada-mofpi.gov.in). The last date for online submission has been extended to 5:00 PM on August 8, 2025.

The submission window for proposals will be open from 11:00 am on May 28, 2025, to 5:00 pm on July 26, 2025. No physical or offline submissions will be accepted under any circumstances.

Proposal Requirements

Proposals should cover project details and infrastructure plan, investment and funding requirements, proposed capacity and technology to be deployed, impact on reducing wastage and enhancing value addition, compliance with scheme norms and eligibility criteria as specified under the PMKSY Cold Chain scheme.

Pre-Bid Meeting

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled on June 9, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Ministry's office in Panchsheel Bhawan, New Delhi. This meeting aims to assist potential applicants.

Important Notes

The original Demand Draft must reach the Ministry within one week of the application deadline. The Demand Draft should be in favour of the Pay & Accounts Officer, Ministry of Food Processing Industries, New Delhi. A scanned copy of the Demand Draft must be uploaded with the application.
