Gas-Powered Charger and Ram NASCAR Truck Unveiling at 2025 Roadkill Nights Festival by Dodge
On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the heart of downtown Pontiac, Michigan, will come alive with the roar of engines as the 10th edition of MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge takes over Woodward Avenue. The event, running from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, promises a day filled with horsepower, music, and adrenaline-pumping experiences.
Key attractions include street-legal drag racing on Woodward Avenue, featuring high-horsepower Dodge drag cars and live burnouts by NHRA stars Matt Hagan and Leah Pruett in 12,000-horsepower vehicles. Attendees can also enjoy Dodge Thrill and Drift Rides in the all-new next-generation Dodge Charger muscle cars, offering an unforgettable experience.
Ram will display their Ram 1500 NASCAR concept truck, Raminator Monster Truck, Bucking HEMI® Experience, and other special builds debuting on the drag strip. The Direct Connection Grudge Race will also return, where automotive builders face off using parts from Dodge’s Direct Connection program.
Celebrity appearances include blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Roadkill hosts David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan, and other personalities like David Newbern, Mike Cotten, and Cristy Lee. An exhibition car show will feature both classic and modern muscle cars, while a vendor midway with sponsors like Mickey Thompson Tires, United Synthetic, Long Drink, and others will offer a variety of car parts, accessories, and t-shirts.
Family-friendly activities include simulators like the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon drag race and NHRA Funny Car simulator. Local food trucks will be on hand to keep visitors energized throughout the day. Additional features include the Dodge Direct Connection Alley (performance parts and crate engines), Radford Racing School display, music, entertainment, and a United Way silent auction.
For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be livestreamed from 4 PM to 9 PM ET on YouTube channels of MotorTrend, Dodge, and DodgeGarage, covering the drag racing competition on Woodward Avenue.
Tickets start at $25 for general admission, with various ticket packages and discounts available for Pontiac residents, veterans, and Stellantis employees. Children 12 and under receive free admission, and employees presenting a Stellantis ID badge at the gate will also receive free admission, along with free admission for up to one guest.
Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge celebrates a decade of Roadkill Nights and Dodge’s commitment to muscle car culture and street-legal drag racing in Metro Detroit. This year, Dodge is planning to publicly debut new vehicles, including the gas-powered version of the Dodge Charger. Street-legal drag racing with cash prizes will occur on historic Woodward Avenue during the event.
The Woodward Dream Cruise, which attracts over 40,000 classic vehicles and 1 million spectators, is a testament to the love for automobiles in the region.
