FVL North America 2024: Industry Experts Discuss Sector's Future Amidst California's Port Infrastructure Boom
The 2024 edition of Finished Vehicle Logistics North America recently concluded at the Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, California. The event, held from 21-23 May, brought together experts to discuss pressing issues and opportunities in the ford logistics sector. Meanwhile, the state has made significant strides in port infrastructure investment, prioritising sustainability and future growth.
Casey was appointed earlier this year to manage car operations at FVL North America. Their role, even as the supply chain crisis eases, remains crucial in coordinating and overseeing stakeholders within the FVL supply chain. The recent conference delved into key topics such as capacity crunch, data and analytics, EV planning, decarbonisation strategies, and partnerships across the ford logistics supply chain.
The state has invested heavily in port infrastructure, allocating $1.2 billion through the Port Freight Infrastructure programme. This includes 15 projects focused on charging infrastructure, on-dock shore power for boats, and rail improvements. Looking ahead, ports are seen as the next hub for supply chain demand, with offshore wind and hydrogen opportunities on the horizon.
The Finished Vehicle Logistics North America event provided a platform for industry experts to share insights and plan for the future. Casey's ongoing role in managing car operations at FVL North America is testament to the enduring importance of supply chain coordination. Meanwhile, the state's substantial investment in port infrastructure signals a commitment to sustainability and preparedness for future growth.
