French recruitment company asap.work expands in the US market by buying JUST CONSTRUCTION, aiming for faster growth.

In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the United States, French construction recruitment company asap.work has announced the acquisition of UK-based HRtech firm JUST CONSTRUCTION. The deal is aimed at accelerating asap.work's expansion into the US market, capitalizing on JUST CONSTRUCTION's established presence and deep roots in the industry.

Founded in 2012, JUST CONSTRUCTION has become a dominant player in hiring for Drylining, MEP, Facades, and General Contracting, generating over 95% of its business in the UK and the US. With a 20+ person team, the company has made a significant impact in the construction sector, and its acquisition by asap.work marks a strategic beachhead for the French startup's North American play.

asap.work, a startup specializing in the construction sector, combines automation, personalization, and deep sector expertise to solve the industry's pain points. The company, which was founded in 2021 by Mathias Mouats and Steve Belkacemi, has experienced significant growth, with revenues multiplying by 14 times between 2023 and 2025. The acquisition of JUST CONSTRUCTION is part of asap.work’s international growth strategy, aiming to build the largest community of construction workers globally, addressing a critical worldwide talent shortage in the sector.

The US construction market is currently experiencing a boom, but it is also grappling with a talent crisis, with 400,000 vacancies out of 8.3 million jobs. asap.work's technology-driven, people-first model is well-positioned to address this issue. The company's full-stack digital platform frees recruiters from administrative overhead and delivers top-tier candidates quickly. About 20% of asap.work's sales process is powered by AI, including smart candidate screening, profile matching, and automated sales actions like anonymized CVs and bio generation.

Mathias Mouats, CEO and co-founder of asap.work, emphasized that the acquisition supports their mission to connect construction companies with qualified professionals amidst a global talent crisis. Jamie Trevett, CEO of JUST CONSTRUCTION, shares the same vision, and will stay on to lead the charge, with the JUST CONSTRUCTION team set to grow rapidly as part of asap.work's international build-out.

The acquisition gives asap.work an expanded footprint across both Europe and the United States, and the company is set to open a new office in Austin, Texas with a 10+ person team by the end of 2025. The lead image features Steve Belkacemi and Mathias Mouats of asap.work.
