Freiburg Region Boosts CBRN Response: Seminar Hands Over New Vehicles

The Freiburg Regional Government recently hosted a seminar focused on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) reconnaissance. The event, held by the Bad Dürrheim Fire Department, saw the handover of new CBRN reconnaissance vehicles and offered practical demonstrations and discussions.

The seminar provided five practical stations, including live demonstrations of new measurement technology and software. Participants also engaged in hands-on exercises and presentations by the Analytical Task Force Mannheim. Notably, the Konstanz Fire Department took part in the event.

The seminar provided an opportunity for fire departments in the region to exchange insights and experiences in CBRN reconnaissance. Two fire departments in the Freiburg Regional Government's area have already received the new CBRN reconnaissance vehicles. However, as of my last update in October 2023, specific details about which fire departments received these vehicles were not available. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, I recommend checking official government or news sources.

The 2025 CBRN reconnaissance seminar, organized by the Freiburg Regional Government, successfully facilitated the handover of new vehicles and fostered knowledge exchange among participating fire departments. The event underscored the region's commitment to enhancing CBRN response capabilities.
