Former leader of the Kubani regional court reveals intent to splurge 51 million on a construction project in Sochi.

In Sochi, Russia, a multi-story residential building was illegally constructed in the Hostinsky District, an area not intended for such development. The Krasnodar Regional Court Chairman, Alexander Chernov, along with Vladimir Bakhmetyev (Chairman of the Central District Court of Sochi), Elena Sukhareva, and Lyana Syrtsova, have been ordered by the Adler District Court to pay 51 million rubles for this construction violation.

The construction of the building, which was later legalized through the courts, did not comply with several construction norms and failed to consider the future residents' needs for essential infrastructure such as kindergartens, schools, and medical facilities. As a result, the city had to allocate 51 million rubles for the necessary infrastructure.

As partial compensation for the damage, the respondents voluntarily handed over 12 real estate objects totaling over 2,300 square meters to the city. These real estate objects will be used for social needs.

Despite extensive online searches, no information could be found about a lawsuit against the four individuals or their involvement in any social media platforms like VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Telegram, Viber, or WhatsApp. Additionally, no information was found about Anastasia Klyueva in relation to this specific case.

The former head of the Kuban court, Chernov, has also expressed his readiness to return assets worth 7 billion to state ownership. The Adler District Court has satisfied the lawsuit against the four individuals, marking the conclusion of this case in Sochi.

  1. The respondents, including Alexander Chernov from the Krasnodar Regional Court, made a contribution towards addressing the infrastructure issues caused by the illegal construction, by voluntarily providing 12 real-estate objects for social needs, summing up to over 2,300 square meters.
  2. Apart from the compensation, Chernov, along with other officials, has shown willingness to remunerate the state by returning assets worth 7 billion, in a separate financial venture, further demonstrating their commitment to addressing issues arising from the illegal real-estate investment.
