Former IEMOP CEO Joins Primelectric as COO
Richard Nethercott, former President and CEO of IEMOP, has joined Primelectric Holdings, Inc. as Corporate COO. Nethercott brings a wealth of experience in the energy sector, having overseen the Philippine electricity trading floor for over five years.
In his new role, Nethercott will work alongside Primelectric's President and CEO, Roel Castro. Castro expressed his enthusiasm for Nethercott's appointment, highlighting his extensive experience in the energy sector. Primelectric Holdings, the parent company of Razon's power distribution interests, operates the More Power Barge and oversees PrimeRES, its retail aggregation program arm.
Nethercott's impressive background includes serving as a law professor in various universities across the country and previously acting as a Board Director of the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation (PEMC). IEMOP, under his leadership, operated the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM), the country's electricity trading floor.
Nethercott's appointment to Primelectric Holdings reflects the company's commitment to bolstering its operational and strategic capabilities. With his proven track record and expertise, Nethercott is poised to make a significant impact on Primelectric's power distribution companies, including More Power in Iloilo, Negros Power, and Bohol Light.
