New Policy Manager Joins Pasture-Fed Livestock Association

Philippa, a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in hotel management and communications, has recently joined the Pasture-Fed Livestock Association (PFLA) as the new Policy Manager.

In her new role, Philippa will be responsible for developing and advocating policies that support pasture-fed livestock farming practices. Her extensive background in managing large projects and member communications will undoubtedly prove valuable in this capacity.

The General Manager, Russ Carrington, expressed his excitement about Philippa's appointment, stating that she is a tremendous asset to the organisation. He believes her passion for sustainable food production and her knowledge of the UK's growing 'foodie' culture will greatly benefit the PFLA.

Philippa's role will also provide support to the General Manager and Directors, ensuring smooth communication within the organisation. As the central point of contact for the existing 330 members, she looks forward to meeting and working with them.

One of Philippa's main goals is to help new members understand the importance of sustainable food production. With the increasing demand from consumers for transparency in their food sources, her message about the benefits of pasture-fed livestock farming is timely and relevant.

Interestingly, Philippa's previous roles include being Head of Communications for DairyCo (now AHDB Dairy) and a freelance consultant. Her experience in these positions has no doubt equipped her with the skills necessary to excel in her new role at the PFLA.

The PFLA certification, which demonstrates sustainable and responsible food production, is a testament to the organisation's commitment to promoting environmentally friendly farming practices. With Philippa on board, the PFLA is poised to continue its mission of promoting pasture-fed livestock farming and sustainable food production.
