Over 111,000 Euros in Cash Found During Vehicle Check - €111,000 in Cash Seized in Money Laundering Probe on B1 Southwest of Potsdam
Over €111,000 in cash was discovered during a vehicle check on the B1 southwest of Potsdam in mid-September. The state police have launched a criminal investigation into suspected money laundering and secured the funds.
The vehicle check was conducted jointly by police and the main customs office in Potsdam. During the inspection, three men were found in the car, including the driver who admitted to having the cash. He revealed that he received the cash the night before at the train station from two fleeing acquaintances. The driver was supposed to take the cash to a church in Berlin but had not yet received the exact address by phone. The investigation into the criminal case is ongoing, with no connection found to a church in Berlin related to a money laundering affair.
The state police are continuing their investigation into the suspected money laundering case. Over €111,000 in cash was secured, and the driver's involvement is being scrutinized.
