Ethiopian, Swiss, & Air Canada Boost Dublin Connections
Ethiopian Airlines is set to connect Addis Ababa and Los Angeles via Dublin with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner from June 20, 2015. Meanwhile, Air Canada Rouge is boosting Toronto-Dublin flights to eleven weekly rotations in peak summer. Swiss International Air Lines is launching a new Geneva-Dublin service on June 26, 2015, marking the twentieth new route for Dublin Airport this year.
The Ethiopian Airlines route will operate four times weekly using a 150-seat Airbus A320. Swiss's new service aims to strengthen its presence in the competitive intra-European market, catering to both leisure and business customers, as noted by Felix Rodel, Director for UK and Ireland, Swiss. The Geneva-Dublin route will bring Swiss's Swiss network to 42 non-stop destinations. Additionally, United Airlines will add a summer link to Chicago from Dublin.
These new routes and increased frequencies offer passengers more choices and flexibility, connecting major cities across continents and within Europe. They also reflect the growing demand for air travel and the competitiveness of the aviation market.
