Enhanced local transportation arrangements for Bavarian Lower Main region unveiled
The city of Aschaffenburg, along with the districts of Aschaffenburg and Miltenberg, have jointly adopted and implemented a new public transport plan for the Bavarian Untermain. This comprehensive plan, developed over a period of more than one and a half years, has been led by AMINA - Aschaffenburg Miltenberg Public Transport GmbH.
The new public transport plan, spanning 157 pages, is now available for download at Public Transport Plan. This detailed plan outlines the current situation, goals, and measures for public transport in the Bavarian Untermain.
At the heart of the new plan is a commitment to improving service offerings. This includes revising existing line bundles, developing bus infrastructure, and introducing on-demand transport. Another key focus is increasing the use of alternative bus drives, aiming to make public transport more sustainable.
During the development of the public transport plan, citizens had the opportunity to participate in an online participation process. This ensured that the needs and concerns of the community were taken into account.
The implementation of the new public transport plan is being carried out under the leadership of AMINA - Aschaffenburg Miltenberg Public Transport GmbH. The goals and measures outlined in the plan are set for the coming years and include increasing the use of alternative bus drives, improving service offerings, on-demand transport, bus infrastructure development, and revising existing line bundles.
