Energy company Sahaenergo persists in its summer navigation

SAHAENERGO JSC, a subsidiary of Yakutskenergo PJSC and part of the RusHydro Group, has successfully shipped 48,506 tons of diesel fuel to energy facilities in Yakutia and the Arctic regions as part of the summer navigation supply.

The diesel fuel was transported via the Lena, Aldan, and Yana rivers, reaching energy facilities in Viluisk, Aldan, Ust-Maysk districts, Olekminsky, and Zhigansky uluses, as well as remote and hard-to-reach settlements.

In a statement, Innokenty Sharin, head of the accounting department for supplies and calculations with suppliers, confirmed that the fuel and energy resource supply during the summer navigation of 2025 is carried out according to the approved plan of AO SAHAENERGO.

Diesel Fuel Supply

SAHAENERGO has secured sufficient diesel fuel reserves to cover the entire summer navigation period. Deliveries are organized via river transport, taking advantage of navigable waterways during the ice-free months. Logistics coordination ensures timely arrival and distribution to remote energy facilities, minimizing operational risks.

Coal Supply

Coal reserves have been stockpiled ahead of navigation to ensure continuous operation of coal-fired power plants. Transportation primarily relies on river barges and rail where infrastructure permits, with contingency plans for weather-related delays. Quality control measures are in place to maintain fuel standards necessary for efficient combustion and emission regulations.

Oil Supply

Oil fuel, used in certain power plants and backup generators, is procured and stored sufficiently to last through the summer season. Delivery schedules align with the navigation timetable, optimizing the use of limited transport windows. Storage facilities at key sites have been inspected and upgraded as needed to prevent leaks and ensure environmental safety.

SAHAENERGO's fuel supply strategy emphasizes early preparation, flexible logistics, and safety compliance to maintain uninterrupted energy production under the challenging conditions of Yakutia and the Arctic. This approach supports stable power delivery to communities and industries throughout the summer navigation period.

During the current year's summer navigation, SAHAENERGO plans to supply 72,447 tons of diesel fuel, with 13,551 tons intended for remote and hard-to-reach settlements in Yakutia. The timely delivery of fuel and energy resources is a guarantee of reliable passage through the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026.

Energy workers have started delivering fuel for energy facilities located on the Yana, Indigirka, and Kolyma rivers with the opening of the Arctic navigation. Further details about the delivery of diesel fuel and the rivers used for transportation were not provided.

Technology plays a critical role in SAHAENERGO's fuel supply strategy, with logistics coordination relying on advanced systems to ensure timely deliveries and distribution to remote energy facilities.

Finance and energy sectors are closely intertwined as SAHAENERO's fuel supply strategy is backed by investments in adequate fuel reserves, infrastructure upgrades, and contingency plans, ensuring uninterrupted energy production through the summer navigation period.
