eBay Canada Honours Four Inspiring Entrepreneurs with Up to $10K in Prizes
eBay Canada has announced the recipients of the 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. The awards recognise four inspiring small businesses that have made a significant impact on the Canadian economy. The winners will receive cash prizes to reinvest in their businesses.
Dave Vanderloo, founder of Dizcount Dave, was honoured as the Hometown Horizons Entrepreneur. Vanderloo turned an auction pallet side hustle into a successful e-commerce business. Meanwhile, Blake Ouellet of Blakestoise TCG was named Entrepreneur of the Year. Ouellet started his business to fund his Pokémon collection and grew it into a trusted trading card store.
Adrian Ceranowicz of Skewed Games received the Micro-Multinational of the Year award. Ceranowicz sells video games internationally, focusing on clear listings and honest descriptions. Lastly, Jakub Pesik and Greg Wiatr of West To Best were recognised as the Emerging Ecommerce Entrepreneurs. They transformed thrift finds into a full-time business and created a community hub for collectors.
The winners will receive cash prizes ranging from $5,000 CAD to $10,000 CAD. eBay, a global commerce leader, enabled $75 billion of gross merchandise volume in 2024. The awards highlight the role of entrepreneurs in driving Canadian innovation, job creation, and economic growth.
