Oasis's Wembley Shows Generate Millions in Beer Sales

Oasis's highly anticipated reunion tour at London's Wembley Stadium is not only making waves in the music industry but also boosting the UK's economy, particularly in the beverage sector.

According to data reported by The Times, Oasis fans have been consuming impressive amounts of beer during their concerts at Wembley. Each night, an estimated 250,000 pints of beer are sold, a figure that significantly surpasses the consumption at comparable large concerts by Coldplay or Taylor Swift.

Assuming an average price per pint in the UK, which typically ranges from £5 to £7 in large venues, the revenue from beer sales alone at one Wembley show amounts to roughly £1.25 million to £1.75 million.

Martin Williams, chief executive of restaurant group Evolv, described the Oasis tour as a "very welcome boost" to the industry. This surge in beer sales does not only occur within the stadium but also benefits local pubs around Wembley during the events.

The Oasis Live 25 tour, which includes stops in cities such as Dublin, Toronto, Chicago, and Sydney, among others, will continue in London for two more nights this weekend. After London, the tour will head north to Edinburgh. The tour will conclude in São Paulo, Brazil.

In total, Oasis will play a grand total of seven shows at Wembley Stadium as part of their reunion. For each gig, an impressive 4,500 kegs of beer move through the stadium. Each pint costs £8.20 at Wembley Stadium, making the total value of beer sold at each show just over £2 million.

The overall "Oas-economy," including tickets, hospitality, and related spending during the reunion tour, is forecast to contribute over £1 billion to the UK economy between 2024 and 2025.
