Nora Demattio's Short Tenure at Open House Oberwart

Just a few months into her role as the managing director of the Open House Oberwart (OHO), Nora Demattio found herself stepping down. This unexpected change wasn't due to internal issues, but rather external financial constraints.

Financial Struggles at the OHOThe gloomy forecast for the OHO started to unravel when the new federal government announced cuts in the cultural sector as a part of the budget reduction. The first consequences of these cuts are now being felt at the traditional art and culture center in southern Burgenland. To maintain operations, the tasks of the former managing director Demattio will be taken over by the board.

A Shift in LeadershipThis personnel and organizational change also brings leadership shifts within the OHO's committee. Eveline Rabold, the previous chairwoman, has relinquished her position. For the time being, her responsibilities are being handled by the new interim chairman, Thomas Monetti. The final appointment of the new board will only be possible at the next general assembly of the OHO.
