Dietzenbach's Green Growth: New HQs, Jobs, and CO2 Savings
Dietzenbach, a district town in Germany, is experiencing significant growth and a strong commitment to sustainability. Recent developments include new balance headquarters, a state-of-the-art data center, and an increase in jobs, all while prioritizing eco-friendly practices.
WürzbergerBau GmbH is leading the way with a new balance building constructed from timber, locking away around 500 tons of CO2. Meanwhile, Held Systems GmbH has moved to Dietzenbach, building a new headquarters with 50 percent greened roof areas and habitats for wildlife. This focus on sustainability is set to continue with Amigo Spiel + Freizeit GmbH planning a new sustainable office building featuring greened roof areas and a large photovoltaic system.
The city's commitment to sustainability is paying off, with an increase of 1,340 jobs since 2020, marking a growth of 10.5 percent in just three years. This growth is reflected in the latest news, with Dietzenbach having the highest number of socially insured employees per 1,000 inhabitants in the region, reaching 403 in 2023. By December 31, 2023, the district town had reached a new milestone with 14,129 socially insured employees. Bauder bakery is also contributing to this growth, planning to expand its operations and employ around 150 people in the future.
Dietzenbach's focus on sustainability is not only benefiting the environment but also driving economic growth. With new balance headquarters, a data center, and job increases, the city is setting an example for others to follow.
