DHL Hub Leipzig workers to receive increased earnings due to revised tariffs

The Leipzig DHL freight hub has reached a collective bargaining agreement with the Verdi union, resulting in an 11.3% wage increase for employees over a two-year period. The agreement, which was approved by 88% of Verdi union members, was the culmination of months of negotiations and strikes.

The wage increases will be implemented in two phases. Employees will receive a 5.6% increase retroactive from July 1, 2025, and a further 5.4% increase effective from July 1, 2026. The first wage increase will be effective immediately, while the second increase will be implemented in 2026.
