Demolition Begins at Former Kempter Hof Inn for Joesepp's Hotel
Demolition has finally begun at the former Kempter Hof inn, much to the satisfaction of entrepreneur Josef Kurz. The site, which has seen various proposed and rejected construction projects since 2016, is now set to become the location of Kurz's third Joesepp's Hotel in Memmingen.
The demolition marks a significant turning point in the long-standing debate over the site's development. After years of delays and heated discussions in the city council, the area has changed ownership and is now poised for redevelopment. Josef Kurz, CEO of the K+S corporate group, has plans to build an ecological timber hybrid construction hotel on the site, following the demolition of the former Kempter Hof restaurant near the Kempter Tor.
The start of demolition at the former Kempter Hof inn paves the way for the construction of the third Joesepp's Hotel in Memmingen. Businessman Josef Kurz, who owns the site, is pleased with the progress and looks forward to the completion of the eco-friendly hotel project.
