The much-anticipated 2025 Skoda Kodiaq has made its grand entrance, boasting a series of exciting upgrades and enhancements. Here's a closer look at what the new model has to offer.
The heart of the 2025 Kodiaq is a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine producing approximately 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. This powerhouse is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard, ensuring smooth and efficient power delivery. The vehicle also employs an AWD (4x4) system for enhanced traction, making it a formidable choice for those seeking a robust and dynamic driving experience.
For those craving even more performance, the Kodiaq RS variant offers a more potent 2.0-litre TSI petrol unit, delivering around 262 bhp (195 kW) and 400 Nm of torque. This high-performance version continues to utilise the same 7-speed DSG transmission and all-wheel drive system as the standard model.
The transmission department sees some interesting developments. Standard models are equipped with the well-established 7-speed DSG gearbox. Skoda is planning to introduce a new automatic gearbox in 2025, aimed at improving torque handling and providing smoother shifting. However, this new gearbox is expected to debut on other models like the Kushaq facelift rather than the Kodiaq directly.
The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq comes in two main variants: the Sportline and the L&K. The Sportline variant is priced at ₹46.89 lakh (ex-showroom), while the L&K variant retails at ₹48.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
In terms of design, the new Kodiaq boasts a sharper appearance compared to its predecessor. The height of the vehicle has been reduced by 20 mm, to 1,659 mm, while the width has been narrowed by 18 mm, to 1,864 mm. The length, however, has increased by 61 mm, to 4,758 mm. The new Kodiaq is equipped with new LED headlamps, adding to its sleek and modern aesthetic.
Inside the cabin, the Kodiaq is fitted with a 10.25-inch digital instrument display, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and a Smart Dial setup with three rotary knobs below the screen. The vehicle also features a Heads Up Display (HUD), ensuring crucial information is always within the driver's line of sight.
