Cumulus's Collin Jones Takes Charge as Co-Chair of NAB Joint Board

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) recently welcomed some new faces to the helm. Here's a rundown of the latest appointments within the association:
Exciting New Leaders in the Joint Board of Directors
Collin Jones, an executive vice president at Cumulus Media and president of Westwood One, has been elected as the chair of the NAB's Joint Board of Directors. Collin takes over from Perry Sook, who remains on the association's executive committee as immediate past joint board chair (1, 4).
Stepping Up on the Radio Front
Chris Ornelas, the executive vice president and general counsel of Beasley Media Group, steps into the shoes of Collin Jones as the chair of the NAB Radio Board.
Among other notable appointments within the Radio Board, Leonard Wheeler, president of Mel Wheeler Inc., was elected as the first radio vice chair. Allen Power, president of Broadcast Media at Salem Media Group, was elected as the second vice chair (1). Meanwhile, Eddie Harrell, co-president of Urban One's Audio Division, was elected as the major group representative seat on the Radio Board.
Making Waves in the Television Industry
Nick Radziul, the executive vice president of Hearst Television, will now chair the Television Board, taking over from Pat LaPlatney. Chris Ripley, president and CEO of Sinclair, was elected as the first vice chair of the Television Board. RaMona Alexander, vice president and general manager of WDBD, steps up as the second vice chair, while Dan York, president and CEO of Cox Media Group, was elected as the third vice chair (1). Lastly, Phil Tahtakran, head of federal government affairs at NBCUniversal, was appointed to the designated TV network seat on the NAB Television Board.
