CoopFest 2025 Proposes Alternative Economic Structures!
CoopFest 2025: A Celebration of Cooperatives and a Better World
Prepare for an exciting event that promises to shed light on a different way of doing business – the CoopFest 2025! Organized by The Football Cooperative St. Pauli, GenoDigital, and Green Planet Energy, this inaugural event in Germany will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Millerntor Stadium in Hamburg.
The CoopFest aims to support the idea of a democratic, participatory, and resilient economy. With the theme of "Cooperatives build a better world!", the festival invites everyone interested in an alternative approach to business to join the celebration.
The Millerntor Stadium will transform into a hub of cooperative activities, showcasing over 20 cooperatives and their contributions to solving pressing economic, social, and ecological questions. Visitors can expect a diverse program, with opportunities to learn about creating affordable housing, becoming co-owners, and operating digital platforms democratically, among others.
The Football Cooperative St. Pauli, with over 21,000 members, will be joined by GenoDigital, a network of around 1,000 cooperatives and part of the Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany, and Green Planet Energy, an energy cooperative with more than 47,000 members, supplying green electricity and gas products to around 200,000 households and businesses.
Green Planet Energy's commitment to sustainability is evident, and the CoopFest will be no exception. The event will strive to minimize its environmental impact, promoting a greener and more responsible approach to events and gatherings.
Tickets for the CoopFest range from 50 Euro (25 Euro reduced) to 120 Euro for professionals and can be purchased through the FC St. Pauli ticket shop. Press and media accreditation can be requested via [email protected].
