Contractor sought again for road construction in Solnechnyy, Krasnoyarsk
In Krasyoarsk, Construction Bid Retried for New Road Project
Here we go again, folks! The department of urban development in Krasyoarsk has reopened bids for a long-anticipated road project that aims to connect the Solnechniy district with Solontsy-2 and the Northern Highway. This new path is intended to alleviate the congestion on the Yeniseysk Highway, the city's only fully-functional thoroughfare leading to one of its fastest-growing regions.
Remember, bidding was initially announced, but on March 28, it was unfortunately canceled due to some technical adjustments needed in the project outline. Fear not, as the powers-that-be assure us nothing serious went down.
Now, the bidding is back on, and construction companies can submit their proposals from now until May 7. The winner of the bidding war will be announced on the 14th.
The initial budget for the project stands at around 2 billion rubles, with funding coming from the federal budgetary credit, as well as additional regional budget funds totaling 176 million rubles. The construction must be completed by November 30, 2027.
The new road will pass through the interchange on the Northern Highway and Avenue of Aviators before heading down Afortasii Tavakova, Sokolovskaya, and Griblevskaya Streets. The total length of the road will span 7.3 kilometers, with the number of lanes fluctuating between four and six on different sections. The projected speed of travel is 50 kilometers per hour, with a suggested width of 15 meters for the travel lanes (and 22.5 meters on six-lane sections). Additionally, the project includes the installation of sidewalks ranging from 2.25 to 3 meters in width.
Solnechniy has been aggressively developing beyond its humble micro-district status, resulting in a dramatically increased population. This growth puts extra strain on the existing road network. Residents frequently complain about traffic jams on the Yeniseysk Highway, particularly during rush hour. The new road will serve as an alternative route, helping to unload the main artery.
We should also mention that another tender has been launched simultaneously—for the creation of a specialized geodesic network. This network is crucial for accurate measurements and maintaining oversight of the construction works. The initial value of this contract amounts to 1.5 million rubles, and the completion time frame is set to run for 40 days following the contract's signing. The results of this tender will be announced on April 24.
