B9 Road Renovation: Traffic Disruptions and Overpass Removal Scheduled
The B9 road between Nackenheim and Mainz-Laubenheim is undergoing renovation from August 16 to August 30, causing potential traffic disruptions.
During this period, traffic will be routed on one lane past the construction sites as the removal of the two overpasses in the median of the B9 continues until August 30. The left overtaking lane of both direction lanes will be closed at Mainz-Laubenheim and Nackenheim during this process.
The affected section of the B9 had previously shown road damage, ruts, and cracks. The Landesbetrieb Mobilität (LBM) Worms announced that the asphalt work on the B9, specifically on the direction lane towards Mainz, will be completed on August 16. Traffic safety measures will be removed after the completion of the asphalt work on Saturday.
Upon completion of the asphalt work, the exits from the B9 to the K13 (Dammweg) towards Mainz-Laubenheim and to the L413 towards Nackenheim/Bodenheim are expected to reopen. However, it's important to note that there's no mention of these exits reopening in the latest update.
