Construction Initiated in Arnsberg-Neustadt Residential District: Road Shut Down for Building Works

From August 18 until the end of the year, bus routes in Arnsberg will be affected by construction work on Wulffstraße and Nordring. Here's what you need to know:

Due to this construction, several buses will not serve their usual stops and will follow detours to avoid the construction areas. For instance, buses that normally run along Wulffstraße and Nordring will be diverted via Grafenstraße, Rumbecker Straße, and Ringstraße.

Some stops on Wulffstraße and Nordring may be temporarily closed or relocated. Passengers should expect changes in schedules and possibly longer travel times during this period.

The C10 bus will change its route for trips starting at the "Neumarkt" stop at 15 minutes past the hour. Instead of taking the shortest route to the station, it will go via the "Finanzamt" and "Bezirksregierung" stops to von Bernuth-Straße. On the return trip, the C10 bus will serve the station.

The R21 line will be in operation from the "Brückenplatz" stop in the direction of the station. In the opposite direction, from the station, the R21 and S10 lines are available for trips to Arnsberg.

The S10 line will start and end at the "Arnsberg, Bahnhof" stop during the construction period. The S10 line will not serve the stops "Seibertzstraße", "Bezirksregierung", "Finanzamt", and "Gutenberglatz" in the direction of Neheim. Buses on the R71 line will run via Rumbecker Straße, serving the "Finanzamt" and "Gutenbergplatz" stops instead.

Arrival at the station is at 29 minutes past the hour for the C10 bus. The Arnsberg station will be less accessible due to bus traffic restrictions. Local traffic will remain accessible from one side up to the construction site, depending on the construction progress.

For exact details on which bus lines are affected, the specific detour routes, and the replacement stops, you should check with the local bus company’s announcements or the official Arnsberg public transport website and customer service closer to your travel dates. They usually provide updated route maps and notices during such construction projects.

The project will conclude with final road construction. Julian Lins from the traffic management at RLG has stated this about the bus traffic situation. The electronic timetable information (EFA) can be accessed via the RLG website www.rlg-online.de or the mobile info-app.

During the construction period, the R71 line will not be able to serve the Arnsberg station. Deep construction work and utility line work will be carried out as part of the project. The Nordring, from Wulffstraße to Ringstraße ("Auf dem Lusenberg"), will be closed to through traffic during this period. Thyssengas GmbH will also be carrying out work in the area of the "Seibertzstraße" bus stop.

We recommend planning your journey in advance and allowing extra time to account for potential delays due to the construction work. Stay informed and safe during this period.

  1. In the upcoming construction on Wulffstraße and Nordring, it's likely that the transportation industry in Arnsberg will experience adjustments, as the R71 line will not be able to serve the Arnsberg station and some buses will follow detours.
  2. The finance sector may also be affected, as the C10 bus will change its route, moving via the "Finanzamt" stop during the construction period. Passengers are advised to check with the local bus company or the official Arnsberg public transport website for specific updates on routes and schedules.
