MAQRO Construction and HEERIM ARCHITECTS & PLANNERS Form Strategic Partnership for Large-Scale Projects

MAQRO Construction and South Korea’s HEERIM ARCHITECTS & PLANNERS have announced a strategic partnership to collaborate on large-scale projects both in Georgia and internationally. This partnership focuses on urban master planning, architectural design, construction supervision, and project and construction management.

The partnership between the two companies is particularly valuable for MAQRO Construction, as HEERIM is a globally recognised architectural firm with 55 years of experience in designing airports, hotels, sports infrastructure, and international-standard stadiums. Jeong Young Kyoon, Chairman of HEERIM ARCHITECTS & PLANNERS, believes MAQRO Construction is a leading company in Georgia's development market.

This collaboration builds on a prior successful collaboration between the two companies on the AzerGold mining project in Azerbaijan. Currently, HEERIM is involved in several projects implemented by MAQRO Construction, such as the MAQRO City development in Tbilisi, which comprises approximately 4,000 households, as well as design work for a five-star hotel and residence in central Tbilisi and the Tbilisi Ice Arena review.

One of the key projects the partnership will focus on is the construction of a new stadium with about 70,000 seats, intended to host the UEFA Champions League final. Additionally, the companies plan to work together on airport development projects such as the expansion of Guti Airport and a new airport in Tbilisi. This cooperation aims to bring world-class architectural and construction expertise to Georgia, supporting its growing tourism industry and infrastructure modernization.

Emin Uçar, Founder of MAQRO Group, stated that HEERIM is a key strategic partner for them. Jeong Young Kyoon, on his third visit to Georgia, has observed impressive economic and tourism progress and sees great potential in the country, believing it will soon become one of the world's leading tourist destinations. He appreciates the natural beauty and charming destinations in Georgia.

The partnership between MAQRO Construction and HEERIM ARCHITECTS & PLANNERS marks another important milestone in expanding international partnerships for MAQRO Construction. The cooperation between the two companies will cover all aspects of urban development, from master planning to project and construction process management.

Jeong Young Kyoon's comments emphasize the importance of aligning the construction sector with global standards for MAQRO Construction. The partnership aims to create high-quality infrastructure not only in Georgia but also internationally. With this strategic alliance, both companies are poised to deliver landmark urban, sports, and infrastructure developments domestically and abroad.

The strategic partnership between MAQRO Construction and HEERIM ARCHITECTS & PLANNERS will bring world-class architectural and construction expertise to Georgia, supporting its growing tourism industry and infrastructure modernization. This collaboration covers all aspects of urban development, including finance and business management, due to HEERIM's background in project and construction management.
