Clinker manufacturer aims to transition to carbon-free clinker production

In the heart of Münster, the city renowned for its vibrant culture and historic charm, a significant development is underway. The Janinhoff family-owned business, a long-standing name in the brick manufacturing industry, has announced plans to transition its energy-intensive production to a CO2-free method.

The city of Münster is supporting this initiative by proposing a new building plan, No. 650, for the Janinhoff brick manufacturer in Amelsbüren. According to the press release published by the city, the planning documents for this project, referred to as "Amelsbüren - Thierstraße / Haus Getter / Railway Line Lünen - Münster," are now available for public viewing.

These documents can be accessed both online and at City Hall 3, Albersloher Weg 33, from September 22 to October 24. The city planning department's experts can be reached at Tel. 02 51/4 92-61 95 for any questions regarding the planning.

At the heart of this new production process is the use of hydrogen as an energy carrier. This innovative approach aims to enable Janinhoff to produce CO2-free at its Amelsbüren site, a significant step towards a greener future for the city and the industry.

It's important to note that the deadline for submitting statements on the planning is October 24. The city encourages all interested parties to review the drafts for the 134th amendment to the land use plan and building plan No. 650, which are available online and at City Hall 3.

The responsible authority for the construction plan No. 650 is the local municipal planning office (Bauordnungs- und Stadtplanungsamt) of the City of Münster. The city administration is accepting submissions of the planning documents until the same deadline on October 24.

In this transition towards a more sustainable future, Janinhoff is not only investing in technology but also in the community. By going green, the company aims to set an example for other businesses in the region, contributing to Münster's ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility.

The press release about the planning is free for publication, and the city of Münster invites all media outlets to share this news with their audiences. Together, we can support Janinhoff in its mission to create a greener and more sustainable future for the city of Münster.
