Noble Manor of Tremsbüttel Hits the Market for Sale - Castle Tremsbüttel is now up for purchase.

Julia Scharfe, the managing partner of Sylt Sotheby's International Realty, shared some details about the property. "This sprawling estate encompasses the castle itself and no less than eight ancillary buildings, with ongoing renovation efforts," she explained, adding that interested parties must make an inquiry to get the scoop on the purchasing price. Sotheby's remains mum on the current owner.

This enchanting 8.4-hectare estate boasts approximately 2,155 square meters of space, boasting 11 suites, opulent common areas, a dining section, spa & therapy rooms, and a professional-grade kitchen setup.

A Rich History

Scharfe mentioned that the castle's roots date back to a 13th-century water castle. It later served as a duke's administrative hub and hunting lodge. The current castle was rebuilt between 1894 and 1895 in the Neorenaissance style, complemented by Art Nouveau elements and swiftly became a social gathering point. Until 2020, it operated as a hotel, and the Beatles were among its esteemed guests. More recently, the castle functioned as a private mental health clinic until 2024. Since then, it has stood empty. Scharfe notes that it could potentially accommodate 120 single beds for a clinic to operate.
