Experts at "Auto.ru Evaluation" have reported these price drops, which were observed in July [2]. The decrease in used car prices is primarily attributed to a combination of economic factors, including fuel shortages and high gasoline prices impacting demand dynamics and consumer purchasing power in the region.
Since early 2025, Ukraine’s drone strikes have taken several major Russian refineries offline, including the Volgograd refinery near Krasnodar. This has caused wholesale gasoline prices in Russia to soar (AI-92 increased by 38%, AI-95 by nearly 49%), while mass fuel shortages have been reported along major highways including routes near Krasnodar [3][4].
