Car Manufacturer MG offers temporary price reductions on the Hector and Astor models, with starting prices as low as 9.99 lakh rupees.
In the bustling Indian automobile market, MG Motor India is making waves with special offers on its popular SUV models, the MG Hector and MG Astor. These discounts are valid for a limited time only, and their extent may vary based on the specific variant and availability of stock.
The MG Hector, a favourite among Indian consumers, is currently offering discounts up to approximately Rs. 2.3 lakh. For instance, the Sharp Pro 1.5P MT petrol variant is available at an effective ex-showroom price of ₹19.59 lakh, following a discount of Rs. 2.14 lakh. Similarly, the Hector Plus 6-seater, available in various petrol and diesel options, also receives discounts up to Rs. 2.3 lakh.
The MG Astor, another key model in MG Motor India's lineup, offers more modest benefits up to Rs. 35,000, mainly targeting the Petrol MT Sprint variant. However, it's important to note that these discounts may vary by dealer and can be negotiated further.
These offers are specifically valid for August 2025 and are subject to stock availability at dealers and region-specific offers. They could end at the end of August or earlier if stock runs out.
As MG Motor India celebrates its sixth year of operation in India, it is using this pricing initiative to retain its competitiveness in an increasingly price-sensitive SUV market. The lower starting price on the MG Astor is part of a bigger strategy to generate interest during the brand's anniversary phase. Several trims across the Hector lineup, including the standard, 6-seater, and 7-seater Hector Plus models, have been adjusted as part of anniversary price positioning.
Looking ahead, MG Motor India is expected to launch the MG Euniq 7 and MG 5 Estate, electric models with battery capacities of 84 kWh and 61.1 kWh, respectively, and claimed ranges of 605 km and 400 km, respectively. However, pricing details for these upcoming models have not been disclosed yet.
As part of its financing schemes, MG Motor India is also offering 100% on-road price funding as a financing advantage. Financial institutions have the discretion to offer EMI holidays as part of these schemes, aimed at lowering the upfront ownership barrier during MG Motor India's anniversary phase.
It's important to note that these discounts do not include more expensive features like ADAS models, ventilated seats, and the i-SMART 2.0 connected car package.
The MG Cyberster, another electric vehicle from MG Motor India, boasts a battery capacity of 77 kWh and claims a range of 580 km, priced at ₹ 75 Lakhs.
In summary, MG Motor India is offering discounts on its Hector and Astor models, with the Hector offering up to Rs. 2.3 lakh and the Astor up to Rs. 35,000. These offers are valid for August 2025 and are subject to stock availability. As MG Motor India celebrates its sixth year in India, it is using these discounts to maintain its competitiveness in the price-sensitive SUV market.
