Brazil deploys Evertz.io for streamlined television broadcasting and Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) operations.

Record, a free-to-air television network in Brazil, is embarking on an exciting transformation. In partnership with CIS Group, the network is transitioning to streaming linear TV and direct-to-consumer (DTC) content, leveraging Evertz.io's cloud-native SaaS playout platform.
Felipe Andrade, vice president of sales at CIS Group, expressed his excitement about being involved in Record's transition. "This strategic move is a significant step towards enhancing monetization goals," he said.
The shift to streaming platforms is expected to provide Record with a larger, more engaged audience. With digital-native, interactive capabilities that surpass traditional linear TV offerings, the network can capture a wider demographic and attract advertisers seeking modern, performance-oriented formats.
Key benefits of this transition include expanded advertising opportunities, real-time data and contextual targeting, audience reach and diversification, direct-to-consumer revenue streams, and strategic positioning for future TV buying.
Expanded advertising opportunities come in the form of interactive/shoppable ads, live polls, and second-screen integration, which increase viewer engagement and ad effectiveness. Real-time viewer analytics and contextual insights enable advertisers to optimize campaigns mid-broadcast, increasing ROI and justifying premium ad rates.
Streaming extends linear TV reach by capturing cord-cutters and streaming-enabled households. Simultaneously, it diversifies content types beyond sports, attracting new advertising categories and enhancing monetization across multiple segments.
The DTC model gives Record direct access to viewer insights and subscription or transactional revenue streams, improving long-term monetization stability. The integration with an automation system is aimed at advancing Record's monetization goals.
CIS Group believes that Evertz.io's scalable and efficient solution, combined with their industry expertise, will ensure Record's success in expanding digital reach and maintaining operational control.
The new solution features a custom Adaptive Bit Rate (ABR) HLS ladder for optimal video quality, integrates SCTE markers into content for seamless live-event transitions, and supports automated live-event transitions. It offers a user-friendly interface that simplifies content import, and its centralized dashboard allows for managing multiple channels.
Record plans to launch 21 additional channels, and the design of Evertz.io allows for rapid deployment and scaling of additional channels to meet the needs of Record's diverse audience. The platform provides live inputs, video and audio mixing, multilanguage captioning, branding, and graphics.
