BMW's legendary 3 Series model celebrating five decades as a best-selling car for the brand across the globe
The BMW Group has unveiled a special edition of the acclaimed BMW 3 Series M340i, celebrating 50 years of the iconic 3 Series. The limited-edition model, aptly named the '50 Jahre' Edition, is priced at approximately Rs. 76.90 lakh ex-showroom and is only available in a limited run of 50 units.
Under the hood, the M340i '50 Jahre' Edition boasts a 3.0-litre B58 turbocharged inline-six petrol engine, producing an impressive 374 bhp at 5500-6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 500 Nm between 1900-5000 rpm. The powertrain is mated to an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and xDrive AWD system, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in a swift 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 253 km/h. The ARAI-rated fuel efficiency stands at about 13.02 kmpl.
Exclusive features and design highlights of the '50 Jahre' Edition include laser-engraved "1/50" badging to mark its limited edition status, sportier exterior accents, and special '50 Jahre' emblems. The interior features black Vernasca leather sport seats with M highlights, a steering wheel adorned with a red noon center marker and paddle shifters, carbon-fiber trim, and an anthracite headliner.
Advanced tech features abound, with a 14.9-inch curved central display, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, BMW Head-up Display with 3D augmented navigation, ambient lighting, and three-zone automatic climate control. The premium 464-watt Harman Kardon sound system and front and rear parking sensors complete the package.
The M340i '50 Jahre' Edition boasts a sporty exterior design, with a black mesh style BMW kidney grille, Adaptive LED headlights, M Lights Shadowline, and 19-inch Jet Black Alloy Wheels.
