BMW's 2017 5-Series model will make its debut on October 13, 2016, as shown in the included video.
BMW is set to unveil a new generation of its popular 5-Series model, with the official reveal scheduled for later this month. The new 5-Series, built on a new platform, promises lower weight, greater rigidity, and cleverer packaging, according to BMW.
The new 5-Series will come with a range of engine options, from a 1.5-liter diesel with 150bhp to a twin-turbo V8 with over 600bhp. Additionally, the model will offer various body styles, including a saloon, Gran Turismo, and Touring, giving customers a wide range of choices.
BMW is also nearing the delivery of electric cars beyond the i3 and i8, with the upcoming i4 set to make its debut as a 'production-ready' concept at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The BMW i4 is expected to be a 'mainstream' electric car, as opposed to the i3 and i8, and will likely be a key player in BMW's push towards electric vehicles.
The new 5-Series will also feature advanced safety technology and Driver Assistance technology, as well as Remote 3D View technology, which allows drivers to remotely view their car in 3D on their smartphone.
Meanwhile, BMW is not the only brand in the spotlight. The new 2017 MINI Countryman Plug-in Hybrid is being teased ahead of its launch, with a hybrid version of the MINI Countryman expected to debut in 2017.
The 2017 BMW 5-Series, based on the G30 model, which was first revealed in 2016, is expected to be on sale in early 2017. Further details about the new 5-Series will be revealed later this week.
In addition to the 5-Series, BMW will also be presenting the new version of the BMW 5 Series before it becomes available in spring 2017. The company itself is responsible for this presentation. A new front end design is featured in the teaser image for the BMW 5-Series facelift, hinting at some exciting design changes for the new model.
The Geneva Motor Show in March will also feature the debut of the BMW i4, as well as other exciting new vehicles from BMW and other automakers. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new developments in the automotive industry.
