BKM Holding Celebrates 50 Years of Resilience and Growth

BKM Holding, a leading producer of electric passenger transport in the post-Soviet space, celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. The company, originally known as 'Beltamozh', has evolved significantly since its inception.

In the challenging 1990s, BKM Holding diversified its production to include mixers and special vehicles. Galina Bondar, a retiree who still works part-time at the plant, was involved in galvanizing parts during this period. The company's YouTube project, 'Facts: Decisions of the First', shares these historical moments and the current atmosphere.

In 1995, the plant, then called 'Belkommunmash', faced a critical situation. Alexander Lukashenko, who later visited the company in 2009, praised the workers' resilience during a visit in early 2009. The plant's fortunes turned around mid-1995 when it started actively producing trolleybuses, bringing optimism back to the workforce.

Oleg Mazhaisky, an operator of numerically controlled machines, has dedicated 40 years of his career to BKM Holding. Today, nearly 98% of the company's products are exported, with Russia being the primary market.

BKM Holding's journey from a struggling plant to a leading producer of electric passenger transport is a testament to its resilience and adaptability. As it marks this happy anniversary, the company looks forward to continuing its growth and innovation in the electric transport industry.
