Bitburger Brewery's Technical Director Jan Niewodniczanski Steps Down
Jan Niewodniczanski, the Technical and Environmental Director of the Bitburger Brewery Group, is stepping down. His departure, effective September 30, 2023, is due to differing views on the group's strategic direction. Despite leaving his role, Niewodniczanski will continue to contribute as an active shareholder.
Niewodniczanski's departure comes after a nine-month sabbatical earlier in the year. Following his exit, the leadership of his department will be temporarily assumed by the other managing directors: Dr. Stefan Schmitz (Personnel and Legal), Markus Spanier (Finance, IT, and Procurement), and Sebastian Holtz (Sales and Marketing). The group has not specified if Niewodniczanski will take on new roles within the group, but it is possible he may serve in supervisory or advisory capacities.
Jan Niewodniczanski's departure from the Bitburger Brewery Group's technical and environmental leadership is effective from September 30, 2023. While his role is changing, he will continue to contribute as an active shareholder. The group's other managing directors will temporarily oversee his department.
