Bergische Volksbank reports positive outcomes from the 2023 fiscal year
Volksbank Strengthens Community Ties in Solingen
The Volksbank, a prominent financial institution in the Bergisches Land region, has announced its continued commitment to the city of Solingen. In a significant move, the bank is rebuilding the kindergarten Unterburg for the city, marking the organisation's next step in community development projects.
The planning process for the rebuilding of the kindergarten Unterburg will commence now that the contract has been signed. The project will be managed by the Spar- und Bauverein Solingen eG (SBV eG), a local organisation known for its expertise in construction projects.
In 2023, the Volksbank maintained 20 branches in the Bergisches Land region, providing essential financial services to the community. The bank employed 369 people, including 27 apprentices, reflecting its commitment to fostering local talent and growth.
The Volksbank's dedication to the community extends beyond financial services. In 2023, the bank supported over 150 clubs and institutions with donations and sponsorships, amounting to around 280,000 euros.
Recently, the Volksbank handed over the building for the "Glückspilze" kindergarten to the Bethanien Diakonissen-Stiftung in Solingen. This gesture underscores the bank's ongoing support for early childhood education in the city.
In response to a recent incident, the Volksbank has also reinforced its security measures at its locations, ensuring the safety and security of its customers and employees.
As the Volksbank embarks on this new kindergarten project in Solingen, the city can look forward to a modern and secure facility that will serve the needs of its youngest residents for years to come.
