The company received a participation certificate from the Bavarian State Minister for the Environment and Consumer Protection, Thorsten Glauber, with Mayor Andreas Rother presenting it officially.

BERGER Bau SE, with a 120-year history, is deeply rooted in the region. Employing around 3,000 people across 100 European locations, the company generates an annual turnover of €700 million. Beyond construction, BERGER Bau SE is involved in electromobility, modern building technology, and sustainable waste management, demonstrating its dedication to environmental and climate protection.

The company's focus on renewable energies is evident in its projects. It specialises in combined heat and power plants, photovoltaic systems, and district heating, aiming to reduce its environmental impact. BERGER Bau SE's commitment to operational environmental protection is further underscored by its voluntary measures, including certification according to the ISO 14001 standard since 1998. The company has been a participant in the Bavarian Environmental and Climate Pact for many years, with Mayor Andreas Rother presenting the certificate in 2025. Currently, BERGER Bau SE is converting its operating site in Vilshofen from gas to district heating, further exemplifying its commitment to sustainability.
