Belarus Currency Market Sees High Volatility on October 3, 2025
On October 3, 2025, Belarus witnessed significant currency trading volumes and fluctuations. The Belarusian ruble (BYN) saw substantial activity against the US dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), Russian ruble (RUB), and Chinese yuan (CNY).
The total trading volume in BYN was substantial, with 54,551,000 USD, 364,054 EUR, 167,438,000 RUB, and 31,351,000 CNY changing hands.
The average weighted EUR rate climbed against the ruble, ending at 3.5345 BYN after a 0.0095 (0.2688%) increase. The USD rate appreciated by 0.0169 (0.57%), starting at 2.9995 and ending at 3.014 BYN. Meanwhile, the Russian ruble depreciated by 0.0031 rubles (0.08%), closing at 3.681 BYN for 100 RUB.
Over 7 days, the USD weakened by 0.0324 rubles (1.07%) and strengthened by 0.0181 rubles (0.61%) over the month. The yuan rate weakened by 0.0487 rubles (1.14%) over the week but increased by 0.0426 rubles (1.02%) over the month. The EUR became cheaper by 0.0331 rubles (0.93%) over the week but strengthened by 0.0645 rubles (1.86%) over the month. The Russian ruble strengthened by 0.0445 rubles (1.22%) over the week but depreciated by 0.0121 rubles (0.33%) over the month. The Chinese yuan strengthened by 0.0147 rubles (0.35%), ending at 4.2161 BYN for 10 CNY.
