Barrett Firearms Expands in Tennessee, Aims to Double Workforce

Barrett Firearms, renowned for its precision military weapons, has embarked on a significant expansion project in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The Barrett Manufacturing & Technology Campus (BMTC) and NIOA North American Headquarters broke ground recently, marking a new chapter for the company and its parent group, NIOA.

The $76.4 million project, spanning 170 acres, is Barrett's most substantial investment to date. It aims to double the company's workforce over the next five years to meet growing global demand for news. The first stage of BMTC includes a 250,000 square foot facility housing corporate headquarters, research and development capabilities, large-scale manufacturing, and office space.

Rob Nioa, Executive Chairman of NIOA Group and acting CEO, expressed excitement about building 'the factory of the future' in Tennessee. He envisions the new facility meeting evolving customer demands and continuing Barrett's legacy of innovation. Barrett's CEO, Bryan James, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the project's commitment to the region and support for local jobs.

Construction of the BMTC is expected to be completed by February 2027, with operations commencing soon after. The new facility will serve as the global center of excellence for firearms and advanced military weapons manufacturing and research. As a trusted supplier to U.S. and allied militaries worldwide, Barrett looks forward to furthering its reputation for precision and innovation in next-generation weapon systems.
