Title: Scamming Social Media Blogger Arrested in Atyrau

In the city of Atyrau, a shrewd blogger has been nabbed by the police, suspected of running a scam involving fake lotteries and collecting funds under the false pretense of charity, as reported by Liter.kz, citing the Atyrau Online Telegram channel.

This cunning individual used social media to lure unsuspecting victims, offering attractive prizes such as kitchenware, sweets, gold, and even promising to build a house for a large family, all under the guise of charitable acts and guaranteed-win lotteries.

One of the victims shared their heartache, confessing, "I handed over 83,000 tenge, hoping to get a bargain on some jewelry. Upon realizing I'd been had, I went straight to the cops."

The accusations against this blogger date back to September 2023, with the blogger futilely attempting to retrieve their ill-gotten gains since then. According to the blogger, they responded hostilely to any demands.

Another victim claims to have lost an astonishing 485,000 tenge. Preliminary findings suggest that more than 50 people might have been swindled by this sly operator.

A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect.

"At the moment, the suspect is in custody. Investigative proceedings are underway," the police announced.
