Road Repairs and Traffic Restrictions in Astana and Turkestan

In the coming weeks, residents and visitors of Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan, may encounter some changes in traffic patterns due to ongoing road repairs and partial traffic restrictions.

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Development of Astana is currently conducting medium repairs on I. Panfilova Street, specifically from Tauelsizdik Avenue to K. Amanjolov Street. This stretch of road will be affected by the repairs, which are scheduled to take place from July 25 to August 5.

During this period, vehicle traffic will be organized in one direction on both sides of the road to facilitate the repairs. Partial traffic restrictions will also be in place on this section during the repairs. However, as of July 28, 2025, there are no confirmed or publicly announced traffic restrictions or ongoing road repairs on I. Panfilova Street on the given segment.

Elsewhere in the city, parking near Central Park will be closed for several days, and traffic restrictions will be imposed on another street in Astana, although the exact locations were not specified in the available reports.

In addition to the repairs in Astana, high temperatures have caused road deformation in the Turkestan Region, leading to partial traffic restrictions.

Meanwhile, in Astana, a tunnel on Baraev Street will be closed until September for renovation works.

To avoid traffic congestion, residents and guests of the capital are advised to plan their routes in advance. For the most precise and up-to-date information regarding road conditions or restrictions, local municipal or transport authority sources from Astana would be the appropriate channels to consult.

The news was reported by Liter.kz, and the Press Service of Astana Akimat provided a photo related to this news.

In other parts of Kazakhstan, traffic restrictions are also in place. For instance, in Almaty, traffic restrictions are planned on Zheltoksan Street due to BRT construction between July 23 and 24, 2025.

The ongoing road repairs on I. Panfilova Street in Astana might impact the finance industry, as businesses could experience decreased traffic and revenues during the repair period.

In the Turkestan Region, the traffic restrictions due to road deformation are causing disruptions in the transportation sector, potentially affecting logistics and delivery services.
