Aschaffenburg & Miltenberg Unveil New Public Transport Plan for Bavarian Lower Main Region

Aschaffenburg and Miltenberg districts have adopted a new public transport plan, the Bayerische Niederrheinische Öffentliche Verkehrsplan, developed by PTV Transport Consult under AMINA's leadership. The 157-page plan aims to enhance public transport services in the Bavarian Lower Main Region.

The comprehensive plan, over a year and a half in the making, involved citizens' input. It focuses on several key areas to improve public transport. These include bolstering service offerings, introducing on-demand transport for flexibility, upgrading bus stop infrastructure for better accessibility, promoting alternative fuel buses for sustainability, and revising existing line bundles for efficiency.

The plan begins by assessing the current public transport situation. It then outlines goals for the coming years, aiming to create a more connected, convenient, and eco-friendly transport network.

The new public transport plan, developed collaboratively with citizens, sets out to transform public transport in the Bavarian Lower Main Region. With a focus on improving services, promoting sustainability, and enhancing infrastructure, the plan aims to benefit both passengers and the environment.
