In a recent development, financial manager Maria Ozhnobikhina has filed a lawsuit challenging the sale of Elena Blinovskaya's apartment located in the "Donskoi Olymp" residential complex on Serpukhovsky Val Street. The 176-square-meter property was sold for approximately 90 million rubles to Gennady Pustovalov.

The apartment in question was previously owned by Blinovskaya's children, but allegations suggest that it was purchased with funds from Blinovskaya and later transferred to her grandchildren. This transfer is at the heart of Ozhnobikhina's legal challenge.

In 2020, Blinovskaya's father, Oleg Ostanin, concluded a gift agreement regarding the same apartment, worth around 136 million rubles, with his grandchildren. Ostanin, who also owns real estate in Moscow, Khimki, and Yaroslavl Oblast, may potentially have property seized as it was potentially purchased with funds obtained from marathons.

Blinovskaya was arrested in April 2023 and later sentenced by the Sakhalin Court to five years in prison, a fine of one million rubles, and a four-year ban on commercial activity. The court also seized arrested property and satisfied the prosecutor's claim for 587 million rubles in favour of Russia.

In November 2024, the Moscow Arbitration Court recognised Blinovskaya as bankrupt and initiated the procedure for the sale of her property. However, the current legal status of this apartment is yet to be determined, as the court hearing for the challenge of the sale is scheduled for September 8, 2025.

Ozhnobikhina is citing violations in the composition of the parties to the transaction as her reason for challenging the sale. She is asking the court to order Pustovalov to return the apartment to Blinovskaya's insolvency estate and to restore Pustovalov's claim against her for 90 million rubles.

This case highlights the ongoing legal battles surrounding the assets of Elena Blinovskaya, a prominent figure in Russia who has faced significant legal challenges in recent years.
