Hello folks! Let's dive into the crypto world and catch up on the latest happenings.

Bitcoin and Beyond

Michael van de Poppe, a popular crypto analyst with over 789K followers, believes that the time has come for altcoins to take center stage after years of underperforming against Bitcoin. He attributes this shift to a bearish signal on the Bitcoin Dominance (BTC.D) chart, which tracks how much of the crypto market cap belongs to BTC.

"The end of the bear market is still here. Strong bearish divergence on the Bitcoin dominance, implying we're about to reverse and altcoins about to shine."

Currently, BTC.D hovers at 63.89%. Van de Poppe thinks that Bitcoin might retest a crucial psychological area before rallying to fresh highs. He expects a slight correction that could build "stamina" for the upcoming rally towards $120,000-$130,000.

At the moment, Bitcoin is trading at around $109,112. As for Ethereum, the analyst sees a correction towards $2,000 as a golden opportunity for long-term investors.

"If ETH drops beneath $2,400, that will provide a tremendous opportunity. Ethereum rallied from $1,800 to $2,700 in a few days. If there's a 10-20% correction, it's pretty normal, and it's a great opportunity to get yourself positioned into it."

Ethereum is currently valued at $2,663.
