Company Announces Major Leadership Changes

In a series of significant moves, Johnson College has announced several key appointments and departures within its executive team. Here's a breakdown of the changes:

Peter Searle, the former Regional Head of UK & Ireland, will be leaving the company on September 4, 2015. Searle is moving on to pursue opportunities outside the company.

Federico Vione, who has more than doubled sales in the Eastern Europe business during his tenure as Regional Head, is stepping down from his role to take on a new position. Vione, an Italian national, will become the Chief Sales & Innovation Officer, focusing on the digital transformation of the Group, as of October 1, 2015.

John Marshall, who has served as President of Special Counsel and Accounting Principals, is set to take over Vione's role as the Regional Head of Italy, Eastern Europe & MENA and India, as well as joining the Executive Committee, from October 1, 2015. Marshall, a US national, has a distinguished career in Professional Staffing, having started in 1998 and progressing through various executive positions.

Sergio Picarelli, who started his career in the company as Managing Director of 'Career', a permanent placement company, in 1993, will become the Regional Head of Italy, Eastern Europe & MENA and India, as well as the Regional Head of Northern Europe, from October 1, 2015. Picarelli, an Italian national, has served as the group Chief Sales Officer and successfully built up a strong international sales organization.

Meanwhile, Martín Alonso, the Regional Head of Northern Europe, will be leaving the company on September 4, 2015, after 22 years of service.

In other news, Johnson College has also announced new members for its Executive Committee for the 2025-26 academic year. Jose de los Rios, the Papermaking Integrated Work Systems and Manufacturing Capability Leader at Procter & Gamble, and Dr. Erin Keating, the Superintendent of the Scranton School District, have been appointed to the committee. Frank Kilyanek ‘85 has been named Chairperson of the Board, and Candy Frye ‘94 appointed Vice Chairperson of the Board.

Stephan Howeg, who has over 15 years of senior leadership experience across different industries, will become the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and a member of the Executive Committee as of September 4, 2015. Howeg, a Swiss and German national, has developed highly-successful global programs for business and colleague engagement.

Lastly, Mark De Smedt, who has served as the group Chief Human Resources Officer and has strengthened the Group's HR function globally and locally, will become the Regional Head of Northern Europe as of January 1, 2016 at the latest.

These changes mark a new chapter for Johnson College, as it continues to grow and adapt in the ever-changing business landscape.

  3. Johnson College's finance division will undergo leadership changes, as John Marshall, an experienced professional with a distinguished career in Professional Staffing, will be taking over the Regional Head role while joining the Executive Committee, starting from October 1, 2015.
